“This season is an opportunity to make it even bigger and funnier”: Eugenio Derbez, Enrique Arrizon, Austin Winsberg and Sam Laybourne on Acapulco season three

Acapulco seems like one of the most underrated TV shows currently available on Apple TV+. In its third season, the main hero, Maximo, finds himself returning to Las Colinas, where he has to reconcile with the choices he once made. At the same time, we learn about his past and professional life in the events set in 1985.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to lead actor, and Mexican star, Eugenio Derbez, about the third season of his show and what we can expect from it.

We also chatted with Enrique Arrizon, who played Derbez’s hero in his youth. He shared his excitement about the new episodes and gave some insight into the way the story unfolds in the third season.

Besides, the show’s producers, Austin Winsberg and Sam Laybourne, told us about implementing new ideas, the showrunner’s role and playing with the show’s genre.
