Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield star in Luca Guadagnino’s psychological thriller After the Hunt, coming to Prime Video this November

Prime Video has set the global release date for After the Hunt, the latest film from acclaimed director Luca Guadagnino, arriving on the platform worldwide on 20th November 2025.

Set in the high-stakes world of academia, the film stars Julia Roberts as a college professor whose personal and professional life begins to unravel after one of her brightest students (played by The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri) brings a serious accusation against a colleague (Andrew Garfield). As tensions rise, a long-buried secret from her past resurfaces, threatening to destroy everything she’s built.

Blending moral ambiguity with Guadagnino’s signature visual precision, After the Hunt has proved to be one of the year’s most talked-about psychological thrillers. The script is penned by Nora Garrett, marking her screenwriting debut, and is produced by a team including Brian Grazer, Luca Guadagnino and Jeb Brody.

The star-studded ensemble also features Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny, rounding out a cast that brings emotional nuance and high-wire tension to the film’s thorny ethical landscape.

After the Hunt marks Guadagnino’s return to psychological drama following projects like Bones and All and Call Me by Your Name. With its heady themes of trust, power and accountability, the film is expected to resonate with audiences and spark post-release conversation.
